In a shocking turn of events, the family home of famous couple Kanwar Arsalan and Fatima Effendi caught fire this morning. The devastating incident was brought to light by Arsalan himself, who shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram.
Accompanied by disturbing images of her smoky kitchen, Arsalan posted an Instagram story with the caption: “Our house caught fire this morning. Alhamdulillah, everyone is safe! Please remember us in your prayers.
Effendi and Arsalan described the harrowing ordeal in more detail and dedicated an episode of their vlog to the events leading up to the accident. “French fries were cooking on the stove, which I think was the cause of the fire,” Arsalan noted seriously in the video, as sounds of ongoing repairs echoed in the background.
“Thank God we were saved from a great loss; no one was hurt. We are getting a lot of calls and messages. “Thank you very much; we are safe,” the actor said in acknowledgment of the concerns raised. Expressing the immediate chaos of the incident, Arsalan shared how the family jumped into action to save their lives and property, barely having time to process the cause or the consequences.

Arsalan informed viewers that the cleaning process had already begun, highlighting the extent of the damage in the kitchen and joining a visibly shaken Effendi. “We were all awake in our rooms after praying Fajr. Suddenly, we heard Ahmad’s scream and the loud crash of broken glass,” the Betiyaan actor recalled.
