Taylor Swift reaches new heights with ‘TTPD’ success

Taylor Swift broke global streaming records with her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Released on April 19, the album recorded an unprecedented 1.76 billion streams in its first week of worldwide availability.

The album quickly surpassed the So High School singer’s previous record, which was set by her album ‘Midnights’, which reached 1.1 billion streams in October 2022.

“The Tortured Poets Department,” a deluxe edition with 31 songs, not only broke records in the music industry, but also proved Swift’s supremacy internationally.

This release, which measures consumption in more than 200 regions including the United States, was part of the best global streaming week since the launch of the Billboard Worldwide 200 in September 2020, according to the Luminate study.
